Yes. Greensender is a member of 1% for the Planet and as a result, we donate at least 1% of all sales to this organization. The type of products were chosen because they are all items which are used by many people everyday and as a result are often taken for granted. And as a result, the negative environmental impact of producing and disposing of these everyday items is taken for granted. In addition to physically reducing consumption, it is our hope that when people begin to use these products, they are reminded of the need to consume less and that will lead to even greater action. We chose the brands of product based on their excellent environmental credentials as well as their overall quality and style. We make sacrifices in order to insure that the products we sell and the business practices we employ are all environmentally friendly. We recycle aggressively. We use all recycled and non-toxic products, when available. We minimize unnecessary waste (eg -- no bags, packing material, exterior boxes, etc. in the packaging of Greensender products). We select vendors and partners based upon their environmental credentials. We turn off lights and electronics when not in use. And in our personal lives we have made similar commitments.
